To the people who wonder about him not aging. This is the best way I heard it described.
Kryptonian’s under the yellow sun do not die but they do age. When the reach a certain age and are fully matured they stop aging. This is because after a person is fully matured the are not growing but decaying or breaking down just really slowly. When a Kyryptonian is fully matured they don’t start breaking down or start decaying but instead heal constantly thus they will live forever.
