GG right now is so last year. quite borring , sory for that.

The classic movie Dan and Blair are watching at the end is: “The Philadelphia Story”… A 1940 romantic comedy film directed by George Cukor, starring Cary Grant, Katharine Hepburn, and James Stewart. Based on the Broadway play of the same name by Philip Barry… The important thing to note is that the film is about a socialite whose wedding plans are complicated by the simultaneous arrival of her ex-husband and an attractive journalist (/writer/Dan, anyone?). It is considered one of the best examples of a comedy of remarriage, a genre popular in the 1930s and 1940s, in which a couple divorce, flirt with outsiders and then remarry–a useful analogical story vis-a-vis Chuck, Blair, and Dan respectively in the order of Cary, Katharine, and James (the movie’s actors)… The later two being in the clip from the movie and their counterparts being in the GG scene… Blair and Dan… The Socialite and the Writer… BTW, I am actually pleasantly surprised that the writers of GG gave it that much thought, and moreover, that Blair and Dan watched a movie that confirmed, highlighted, underlined, and vilified their status to each other vis-a-vis each other and Chuck (who was just earlier being discussed by Blair in the same scene)… For those who wish to see the film, there are 112 more minutes of context to add to your GG experience–and a classic no less…

OMG, It was so cute at the end when Dan and Blair were asleep and she was resting on his shoulder . I think there secretly falling in love.
